History of the department

Over 64 years (1956 – 2020), the correspondence department graduated 8,292 specialists. The years 1977, 1988, 1991, 1996 were marked by the largest number of students, when 600-700 students (28-30 academic groups) studied at the department.

During the training of specialists, progressive forms and methods of training were and are widely used, in particular: on-the-job training, excursions to advanced farms of the region and Ukraine.

The correspondence form of education involves a large amount of independent work of students on educational material, participation in laboratory and examination sessions, training without interruption from production. An applicant who chooses the correspondence form of education, as a rule, is already working and wants to get a higher education while continuing his own working career.

The organization of educational work at the correspondence department is carried out in accordance with educational plans, educational programs, methodical instructions for studying disciplines, educational schedule, and a plan for conducting a laboratory and examination session.
