“Economic Department” of the Zhytomyr Agricultural Technical Professional College
The Department of Economics at the Zhytomyr Agricultural Technical Professional College was opened in 1999 at the initiative of the director of the college Zoria Arkadiy Yevdokimovich. The first head of the department was Oleksiy Lvovych Danylenko.
In 2002 the department was divided into an Accounting and Financial Department, the head of the department was Maria Markivna Lebid, and an Economic and Commercial Department, the head of the department was Petro Stepanovych Havrylovskyi. Since 2009, all specialties have been merged into the economic department, which until August 31, 2017 was headed by Lebid Maria Markivna. Since September 1, 2017, the head of department is Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tamara Stanislavivna Muliar.
In September 2016 were opened new specialties 075 “Marketing” and 076 “Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activity”.
For the training of junior specialists in the specialties 051″Economics”, 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activity”, 075 “Marketing”, 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, 071 “Accounting and Taxation” were created the specialized classrooms “Philosophy”, “Foreign language”, “Legal studies”, “History of Ukraine and World History”, “Sociology”, “Ukrainian Language For Specific Purpose”, “Cultural studies”, ” Economic Theory”, “Enterprise Economics and Labor Regulation”, “Accounting”, “Economic Analysis and Statistics”, “Commercial Activity and Commodity Science”, “Accounting, Audit and Tax System”, “Finance and Pricing”, “Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurial Activity”, “Ecology and Life Safety”, “Occupational Safety”, laboratories of “Informatics and Computer Technology” and “Information Systems and Technologies”), methodical office, sports and recreation complex.
The training of specialists to obtain the educational and qualification level of a junior specialist and an educational and professional degree in various specialties is provided by 23 teachers, of which 5 are candidates of science (22%), 7 teachers (30%) have the qualification category of “specialist of the highest category” and the title of “teacher -methodist” and 11 teachers (48%) have the qualification category “specialist of the highest category”.
The department has developed good traditions in the organization of educational work: solemn dedications to students, graduations of specialists, relaxation evenings, various competitions, quests, thematic educational hours, meetings with war and labor veterans and many other events are held annually.
The department’s students are active participants in artistic activities; they are also members of the college volleyball, basketball and table tennis teams.
